Code of Conduct

At all times, MACCLESFIELD HOCKEY CLUB adhere to the rules and regulations of England Hockey.

In essence, we respect the spirit of fair play in hockey. This incorporates the concepts of friendship, respect for others and always participating with the right spirit.

At all times – both on and off the pitch – we respect all spectators, staff, umpires, officials, coaches players and anyone else associated with the game.

Club Etiquette

MACCLESFIELD HOCKEY CLUB players should play matches in the club’s kit. They are expected to shake hands with the opposition and officials at the end of each match and socialise with them back at the club house where refreshments are provided.

We don’t use social media to make derogatory comments about players, coaches, teams or umpires.

Rules of Hockey

Macclesfield HC play in the Cheshire League (for Ladies) and the North West Hockey League (for Men) both leagues abide by rules of hockey as governed by England Hockey.

Child Protection Statement

Positive images of people enjoying hockey are essential to promote the sport and a healthy lifestyle.
